Ivesia Solutions currently has an opening for a Senior MFG Test Engineer. This is a perm opportunity with a client of ours in Massachusetts

 Qualifications
Systems-level experience with battery and power management preferred
High-energy technical team leader capable of leading significant critical issues with high-value and customer visibility
Structured problem solving experience (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, 8D, 7-Step)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Engineering experience with energy storage and power conversion systems
Hardware design experience with battery and power management is preferred
Knowledge of generation, transmission and distribution in electric grid systems
Familiarity with complex control systems, firmware design and understanding C code I
ndependent, detail oriented self-starter with a business acumen
Flexible and dynamic with an ability to thrive in a matrix organization
Ability to interface well with internal and external customers
Education/Experience
B.S. Engineering with MS/MBA desired
15+ years direct exposure in related fields of energy storage and power conversion
Experience leading technical teams with direct customer interface and deliverables
PMP Certification or demonstrated competency in managing complex projects with customer deliverables a plus

Primary responsibilities
Develops and manages test fixture fabrication internally or with external suppliers for end of line test equipment including test fixtures or test beds used during the prototype development and debug process.
Conceptualizes and Architects test strategies and test fixture designs.
Project management including developing and maintaining project schedules, performing risk analysis, writing and executing project plans, technical direction to team resources, clear and concise communication to management.
Works closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and the customers specifications to define and implement functional and quality related test parameters for the product.
Proactively provides feedback to design team when documentation and specifications are not clear, contributes to the DFM analysis of the product.
Leads the manufacturing support activity relating to test software maturity and hardware test design.
Ability to compile, evaluate and prepare technical analysis of production test data.
Recommends corrective action for procedures, processes or product deficiencies.
Provides a Sustaining Engineering support to Manufacturing Operation as needed.
Supports manufacturing methods and processes required to meet design and quality objectives on all products.
Recommend and specify best practices process improvements and equipment to improve overall efficiency and quality.
Specific Skills/Abilities
Experience in development of automated functional test processes, hardware and software.
A successful candidate will have excellent leadership, technical, organizational, and project level skills in the areas of utility power and grid connected power systems. This position comes with a high level of visibility within the company due to the scale and the significance of the projects managed by this role.
