Experience Required:
5 years Automotive Component Design or
Sub-System Design Experience
BSME or equivalent
Good engineering aptitude
Program Management Experience preferred

Strong aptitude in mechanical design and system development of hybrid driveline components and support systems
Ability to lead design activities for systems and components including:
Component specification development
System mechanization development
System bill of material generation and cost analysis
Working knowledge of fluid dynamics and internal combustion engine fundamentals
Drawing development and release through the various program phases
Extensive knowledge and experience leading DFMEA, DFA, DFM activities
CAD capability a plus
Solid understanding of hybrid-electric drive components and systems

Responsibilities:
Lead design and analysis of hybrid electric vehicle driveline components and sub-systems
Develop detailed component specifications, mechanizations and block diagrams
Evaluate & develop supplier components to ensure product meets design targets
Develop the Analysis, Development, Validation Plan & Report (ADVP&R) and execution & oversight of validation testing
Lead DFMEA activities as well as DFM/DFA. Participate in PFMEA activities
Plan and oversee CAE analysis activities internally and with outside CAE resources
Develop drawings with CAD designers and release through the various program phases and gate reviews
Work as a team with Quality, Purchasing and Manufacturing to insure all imperatives for production are met including cost, manufacturability, and PPAP
Ensure program timing is met
