Total work experience of 10+ years in Hardware Development

At least 5+ years experience in managing a Hardware Development Team

Demonstrated ability to identify problems and to provide solutions with minimal direction

Understanding of the development and manufacturing processes for interconnect, PCBs and FPGA/CPLD devices. Proven ability to lead design groups in these areas.

Ability to provide leadership in transitioning the electrical designs into production.

Experience with program management and development of complex hardware systems required

A minimum of Bachelors degree in the appropriate Engineering discipline

Looking for an experienced Electronics Hardware Engineering Manager. The position will be responsible for the Management of the Electronics Engineering Team as well as providing Leadership and Technical Strategy to the group. A hands-on approach to management and a strong ability of systems and module level designs with proven capabilities to solve design and implementation tasks are a must. Experience in machine control systems, high-speed data paths, and analog and digital circuit design preferred.

Typical Tasks Include:

Direct Management of the Electronics Hardware Engineering Group (Approximately 15 Engineers)

Management of Remote and Contracted Hardware Engineering Resources

Management and Implementation of Remote Diagnostics Program and Resources

Mentoring and Helping to develop enhanced skill sets within the group through training and other means

Directing the activities of personnel to resolve problems, conflicts and other issues

Must work closely with the Engineering Quality Assurance Group to ensure the highest level of quality Products

Must work closely with the manager of the Sustaining Engineering to provide support and technical knowledge for sustaining projects
Responsibilities:
Developing strategies to better organize the Electronics Hardware Engineering Group and leverage resources
Specification and Documentation of all Electronics Hardware efforts Internal, External and Remote
Reporting on, and Maintaining Status for, all Electronics Hardware efforts within the R&D group
Develop and provide Hardware schedules for all product development projects
Assigning appropriate resources to development projects
Ensuring that projects are executed on schedule
Key Relationships:
Reports to VP Engineering
Partners with Program Managers to define and deploy successful software / printer solutions globally
Partners with the corporate IT, Marketing, and Field Service organizations to develop, implement and maintain clients Remote Diagnostics Program
Partners with outside vendors and resources to deploy and maintain technology solutions
