Software Engineer (Java) Client Side/Application Developer (Waltham, MA or Westminster, CO)

We are seeking a Java Software Engineer who will be more focused on the front end for a 6+ month project located just West of Boston or Northeast of Denver, CO for one of our clients. In this role, you will be a part of a large team that is developing the next generation of commercial software that is used by more businesses within their industry. This team is using the Agile methodology to help ensure the software gets released with high quality and in a quick fashion. They are using quick sprints within the development environment.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Contribute high quality code to specification for a commercial product release due in the Spring
Facilitate, encourage, and drive quality test integration within the context of the Agile team
Write test harnesses, facades, unit tests, test data to fulfill those goals
Fully leverage and apply Agile/TDD/BDD, Jira Studio, and associated tools & processes

Must Have the Following Skills, Ability and Experience:
Java programming
J2SE (5.0)
GWT: At least a few months workign with GWT
Object Oriented Design (OOD)
Agile / Scrum methodology
SQL Server
XML / XSLT, Hibernate, Servlets
Tomcat (Java Servlet, JSP)
Excellent Communication (verbal & written)

Desired Skill Sets a plus:
Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
Jira Studio/ Subversion
Domain Driven Design
GWT
Mocking (e.g.: mockito)
Kanban

Nice to Have
Test Driven Development (TDD) a plus
Kanban

Qualifications:
4+ years of hands on programming experience
BS degree in Computer Science or Quantitative discipline or equivalent
Must be eligible to work in the USA without sponsorship
