Ivesia Solutions currently has an opening for a Principal Electrical Engineer. This is a direct hire opportunity with a client of ours in Massachusetts

Education/Experience
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field required, partial or full certifications PMP, PE a plus.
5+ years direct exposure in related fields of analog, power and digital circuit design.

Familiarity with power semiconductors, microprocessors, DC-DC power supplies, and communication circuits is required,
Be comfortable with a high pressure, multi-project, fast-paced environment,
Experience with battery and power management is preferred,
Familiarity with general firmware design and understanding C code is desirable,
Experience in taking products from concept to production is required
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required.
This position requires demonstrated expertise in project management, analog, digital, and power electronics, including noise issues, power handling on PC boards, and isolation

As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will be expected to take high level project ownership and responsibility.
Actively drive multiple projects to deadlines, proactive, drive assignments from start to finish.
Interface to the Product Management team and customers to gather and negotiate requirements, then create product specifications, follow through.
Develop detailed Work Breakdown Schedules for all phases of the project, follow up on progress.
Architect, design, prototype, evaluate, and document prototype and production-ready electronic systems,
Develop test specifications for product verification,
Interface with and assist test engineering and manufacturing engineering to verify compliance of product to mandated safety and conformance, customer, and A123 requirements,
Interface to manufacturing to design products to production standards (DFM).
Conduct design previews and reviews, and participate or lead DFMEA and WCA reviews.
Co-develop products along with software, firmware, mechanical, and PCB engineers and others.
Mentor senior and junior electrical engineers to guide their development.
