Automation testing

Business Challenge:

Our client enables different organizations to secure their online transactions, protect their identities from theft and provide a trusted environment for conducting secure business through the web.

Since they release builds with enhancements for each product, they wanted to simplify the process through automation scripts. They have already written automated scripts for Quick family products such as Free SSL, Rapid SSL, Quick SSL, Verified Domain, Power Server ID etc.

Ivesia proposed Solution:

Ivesia continued their automation tasks for other products such as Enterprise SSL signup and Enterprise Ordering module. The automation was done using IBM Rational Functional tester, which embeds Eclipse for development environment and Rational Clear case for Configuration repository. The automation tasks for each module are planned out in a step by step manner and automation scripts are written using Java classes and methods. During the major release of each product, additional scripts are added to the existing ones which simplify the complex testing process. Ivesia stored all the automation test cases in Rational Test Manager and executes them during each build release.
